There is another thread on here today, a tourist guide arrested by tourist police and lo and behold none of the tourist police were armed.

So it looks like the OP was incorrect.

 

This was a while back in Singapore.....it's not that easy sometimes, unless security/cops are trigger happy

Well trained police, to me, means average people are going to have horrible experiences with police as their training will teach them to assume every single encounter is a coked up, meth head out on bail with a handgun and needles in his pocket who is about to run or attack. Yall can have your well trained police all you want as far as i am concerened.
