Situation: 1 Computer with the files, which shares the files, 1 computer who can read the files via network.

My genious staff deleted our new companies price list.

It is not in the recycle bin on his computer and not on the main computer.

Not sure what he did, he told he right click the file and select "delete"

As the price list is new, there isn't yet a backup of it.

To make it new would be 2 hours for me. Any chance to get it back?

Agree with the above - a good undelete tool should help you out here. It'll still be on the hard disk, just marked as deleted in the FAT tables.

Sooner the better though. The part of the HD the file was stored to is now marked as blank, so there's a risk it could be overwritten with data from another file.

Files deleted off a network share don't go to the recycle bin. Win 2003 server has a shadow file recovery feature for exactly this situation - saved my butt quite a few times.

As mentioned you'll have to use an undelete tool on the computer where the file is being shared from.

Any serious business / office should have a daily backup system in place of course.
