HIV Test before operation - Samitivej (Bangkok)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I had an operation at Samitivej around 6 months ago and they did a HIV test before it (I consented to it). I am just thinking now, I never actually had the results.

Do they actually tell you the results? I am guessing they only would if it was positive?

Thanks in advance

You can bet that the cost was on your bill. Your right is to get the results at least.

Had surgery a couple years ago here in CM they made a point of showing me the result of negative, the hospital was Rajevej (spelling)

Maybe they didn't want to give you the bad news before you paid the bill. ????

Yes, this  test is normal procedure prior to a surgery .after they ran all tests , you had a doctor come to see you to confirm all details .

Usually or I should say typically that doctor goes over the results. If you had anything he would have mentioned it.
