Advice For Camera Repair?

Featured Replies

I am travelling through SE Asia and spending extended period of time in Thailand. My relatively new (2 months old) digital camera broke yesterday. I was planning on heading to Cambodia today, but instead went on a crazy adventure trying to find a place to fix it, still with no luck. Thought maybe someone here knows more than me about a good place to go.

Its an Olympus camera...I went via Skytrain, motorcyle taxi, walking, motorcyle taxi out to Foto Systems near Laos Embassy...made it there 2.5hrs after leaving BTS! Of course I arrrive and they say its a too recent model. Then I take a trip to Jennson and Jebson, the other Olympus distributor. Wait a fair amount of time and they said they think its a lens problem and it will take 1 month to get the part!

I guess I'm looking for a second opinion from another camera shop, before I have to decide what to do. Anyone found a good place?
