Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam accused of sexism by London Fire Brigade

 

Peppa Pig is one of the most popular children's shows of recent years

 

Children's TV shows Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam have been accused of sexism by the London Fire Brigade.

 

It comes after an episode used the term "fireman" instead of "firefighter".

 

"Come on @peppapig, we've not been firemen for 30 years," tweeted the brigade.

 

"You have a huge influence on kids & using out of date stereotypical gender specific wording prevents young girls from becoming firefighters."

I also think that the cartoons in question, must include a transgender Pig. As this of course, reflects real life.

 

Additionally, I think it would be a jolly good idea to have Meghan advertising the Fire Service.

Shows the sad environment the PC UK has now become. Expect Mayor Khan will applaud this valuable input but point out neither have multicultural casts that reflects the harmonious make up of London.

Watching Peppa episodes with my little daughter, I can't help noticing that daddy pig grunts and snorts louder than mummy pig and tends to take charge when things go awry.
