March 25, 20197 yr Can anyone explain me why the PTP has no party list MP's ? Do they still need to be counted ? Future forward is doing better and better last i saw was 70 seats now 81
March 25, 20197 yr Well if PT got the most seats and even forming an alliance(s) with other parties they still are in the losing position doesn't that mean the system is either flawed or is surely not- rigged!

Still got to wait for confirmation.
March 25, 20197 yr From the wiki website in 2011 the popular vote for PTP was 15.744.190 and now 7.698.115 ** in 2011 the popular vote for Democrats was 11.433.762 now 3.247.658 ** So biggest loser seems to be the Democrats and then the PTP (still being the biggest party) ** there will be more votes as this is at 94% PTP + FFW + BhumjaiThai will have 261 MP's a majority but not huge and unfortunately not enough for deciding who will be PM. Even if the Democrats do support them. Looks like we have to look at Prayut mess things up for a few more years. But Prayut can't form a government as he wont have a majority of MP's Will be a huge bit of horse trading going on soon.

This news is different shows them far lower so with 10 party seats and the 130 here.. makes them 140. Not that much at all and lower then your 163. The FFW was 10 MP's lower in that previous estimate. But what I don't get is that the party list seats for other parties are displayed but not those of the PTP. But I counted all the MP seats and did not reach 500.. so for sure we are missing a few party list seats.

But I counted all the MP seats and did not reach 500.. so for sure we are missing a few party list seats. The party list seats are allocated by percentage of popular vote that the party won, so a party that won a lot of seats by a narrow margin could get fewer party seats than a party that lost more seats by a narrow margin. To add to the confusion, the number of constituency seats won is subtracted from the number of party seats allocated. A few of the less mathematically challenged analysts predicted that PT could end up with no party seats at all, while smaller parties that won no constituency seats could get 1 - 5 party seats. Anyway, they have to give the people what they want: 300 baht. Most citizens don't really want their country to truly prosper -- they just want to prosper themselves.

March 25, 20197 yr Popular Post Even if PTP had won by a respectable margin and formed a coalition with FF then it would still have difficulty both controlling the House and electing the PM. Basically, the system is rigged. In future elections PTP will only be able to govern if it achieves an absolute landslide.
