Smiley Central looks like it has some great ones, but i just know they are going to screw the computer somehow.

So, where is a good place to view smiley themes / download smileys?

From what I've heard from others who have risked the download....most of these 'free' smiley sets come with loads of spyware and adware. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!!!

I was thinking that I might be able to extract the smileys from the malware junk and use them, if this is permissable or even allowable.

Firefox has an extension called "Smiley Xtra" . It features quite alot of smileys, and will insert forum code automatically

Smilies here, I've never had any problem with them, just save the images.
