Police on Sunday sent two Thai-Swiss siblings aged 11 and 12, who had run away from their Bangkok home since March 29, to the care of the Social Development and Human Security Ministry.

The two had fled their home after allegedly being scolded and beaten by their 37-year-old Thai mother and had lost their way after walking 20 kilometres trying to locate their father's residence.

The two kids were survivors of an incident last May when they and their two younger siblings aged 5 and 7 fell off their mother's apartment balcony leading to the deaths of the two younger siblings.

The brother and sister told police that they did not want to return to their mother. They were asked to seek police help on Saturday by Ronnasit Proeksayajiva, founder of the Ronnasit Foundation for Children and Women Falling Victims of Human Trafficking and Violence.

The children claimed that their mother had scolded and beaten them, prompting them to search for their father’s home in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 160 in the hope of staying with him instead, said Pol Colonel Jirakit Jarunapat, a superintendent with the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s Children and Women Protection Sub-Division.

Police found that their father was out of the country so he would be contacted. Later on Sunday, police was told that the father would apply with the ministry to collect the children on April 8.

In keeping with child protection procedure, they were handed over to the care of the Social Development and Human Security Ministry’s care pending investigation. The ministry would continue to take care of the two children until a parent who gets legal custody of the children takes them away, Jirakit said.

The mother showed up later at 8.40pm on Saturday and told police that she had never assaulted or threatened the two children.

Candidate for Father of the Year Award.... how could he not know about their mother’s abusive behaviour and still he leaves them with her... especially after the deaths of the other kids. And now that the kids are with the authorities, he makes them wait until the 8th to collect them?! Top flight parenting at its finest. They should find another relative or allow adoption rather than return the kids to THAT kind of negligent father! He should be ASHAMED!!

In thai articles its says kid said that mother were hitting him deliberately on the scars from the fall on his legs. He got massive scar after operation and metal rods in legs. Basically she is torturing them.

Just take those kids back to Switzerland, where their future will be without saying,  far much brighter then in Thailand. Hope it works out for the dad.

They should reopen the old cases of negligence on the part of the mother and the maternal grandparents that resulted in the death of the other two siblings. Never marry Thais, most of them do not understand the concept of love or family, its only money for them. Worst when thais do not even love or care for their own blood and kind, do not expect them to have an ounce of affection for a foreigner. I have seen many farangs with Isaan or Southern Wives  and with kids and who the stupid farangs claim that their wives are loyal to them and are not ex bar girls...blah...blah..blah.....whenever the farangs are not  around , these "loyal wives" will seek out a thai lad, guess they miss the somtam or pla-ya tainted rods! Hilarious!

I saw a lot of stupid comments on the internet. But this one topped all other.  Did you choose your nickname about you're have this sickness?

I know of an American man who had to leave his kids behind and flee to save his life, the mother is abusive toward the kids and is very manipulative, he tried getting custody but kept getting done over by 'Thainess' in the courts in Chumphon, where the mother's family is very wealthy and has all the local lawyers and judge's in thier collective pockets.

Now, try as a foreign father, to get full custody of Thai children in Thailand.

It is nearly impossible.

In any country nowadays, to sideline a "mother", because per definition mothers are good and fathers are bad.

As far as I can remember the father tried to get custody of the children but did not succeed.

And yes he knew about the mother's behaviour.

But of course, being a farang, the Mission becomes rather Impossible.

Your answer seems a bit, ehhhh, stupid?
