Not so sure about that. For Thailand I don't know if the case still has to go through a court, in some countries it does, as a check and balance to ensure it wasn't a forced confession.

 

And let's be realistic, forces confessions and scapegoats are par for the course here, for decades.

It's a small island so shouldn't be too difficult to find the right person who did this. And he is a Thai . So no need to speculate if this is another scape goat mystery.  Probably a Thai high on drugs that the locals were aware of.
