webfact Posted April 12, 2019 Share Posted April 12, 2019 Video: Rambo foreign pensioners prepare for three days of water wars in Samui! video screenshot A video on TNA MCOT showed foreign pensioners tooled up Rambo style with water guns ready to fight for all their worth during Koh Samui's Songkran Festival. One was a rather rotund lady determined to do her best while two grey haired gentlemen carried their weapons with intent to have a good time! Other younger tourists were shown enjoying themselves too as the splashing began in earnest. TNA said that Chaweng beach road was going to be sealed off for three days and three nights for the water wars and a music festival that is part of "Samui Water Color and Songkran Festival 2019". Some 10,000 visitors are expected and there are hopes that this will generate 800 million baht in income. No Thais live there and with no cars passing it's going to be to dull for the Thais. Expect the lake side road to be crowded, to bad the only water source is going to be the dirty lake.
