Phishing Websites

As a possible warning to others ...

I received the above link in an e-mail

It looks Genuine to me on the face of it

- BUT it has no way of Contacting the Owner - as far as my Search Revealed

Is this an example of a "Phishing" scam?

Are they just trying to catch Credit Card details ?

OR - could it possibly be Genuine.

If it is thought to be Genuine - I have no wish to promote it

- it can be deleted

But if it is thought to be a Phishing Scam - maybe it can be left as an example of what should be avoided?

If it's a phishing site it'll take your money and give you nothing.

If it's not it'll take your money and send you products that are a scam.

Well - but in both those scenarios they could be traced back through MasterCard & Visa ?

So I thought they would be just collecting data to be used by them elsewhere?

In the six to eight weeks that they string you along that something is actually coming, they're collecting money from others that is fed into a rogue account offshore that is closed along with the merchant account (with the CC data all recorded) when they move on to the next scam.

I'd tend to agree with cdnvic, but you could try giving the owner a call or an email, registration details from whois.net :o

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Phishing is where you are sent an email that looks like it comes from someone like Ebay, then it says to either click on a web link or enter information and send it.

Site looks like Ebay but if you are smart, you always look at the 'address' part of internet explorer and see. For instance, if it is ebay.com/whatever chances are you are right. But if it says 122.44.553.23/whatever.ru chances are you are being sent to a site that copies ebay looking for your credit card info and then will scam you...

Notice that the order page where you can submit your credit card number is not encrypted at all.

So even if you thought this was a genuine penis enlargement product vendor, and if you believed that they worked, and if you were desperate enough to want to try some, buying stuff off these guys would still be a bad idea.
