Starsky
Hello I've just decided to try Linux and downloaded a new OpenSuse dvd iso. I've installed it on my Aser Aspire 3680 laptop with out any problems. Everything works fine and KDE looks great and the only problem I've got now is Linux doesn't see any wireless networks and I don't see a button such as 'View available wireless networks' in WinXP to find them. I realized that Linux found my wireless card. What can I do? I've got at least 5 wireless networks in my place... Thanks
Cyberstar
Suse does have a handy application of the kind you seek. It's called KWiFiManager and comes in a package called 'kdenetwork3-wireless'. If it is installed it should be in the menu under System-->Network-->KWifiManager ... If you don't see it there, you can start Yast-->Software Management and enter 'wireless' in the search field - that should (among other) yield the package mentioned above, which you can install from the DVD. Note: My laptop is still on Suse 10.1. They might have replaced KWifiManager with something else, but I'm sure there must be some application in 10.2 with the similar functionality and which can be found in a similar manner.
