Gary A Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Is anyone other than myself having problems? Sometimes it works great, most of the time it is slow and EVERY day, several times it is down for at least a while. It SUCKS!
Khonwan Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I'm using TOT Ipstar In Nakhon Sawan (256/128). I'm usually connected 16 hours per day - rarely ever have problems. Very slow today though.
Gary A Posted March 7, 2007 Author Posted March 7, 2007 Yesterday I bypassed my router and plugged the Ipstar box into my UPS. My house voltage goes up and down like a yo-yo here so maybe a stable power supply will help. So far it is OK. If it coninues to run OK I will buy a second UPS because with the monitor, the computer, the router and the Ipstar box all on the UPS, it is probably too much drain. The UPS has only two outlets so I am using an extension cord with multiple outlets to be able to plug everything in.

Gary: Look at the specifications for your UPS and then look at the stated specs for the connected equipment plugged into the UPS. Generally I use 50% utilisation on the UPS to cope with shifts. Then you can decide if you need another UPS.
Martin_F Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 On your original subject we are on ADSL telephone line with TOT and the service was bad over the holiday. I should image that there was major modifications done or the guy who knows the stuff was on holiday.
