Getting a marriage license for non-Thais

Featured Replies

Anyone know the process for getting a marriage license in Bangkok? Neither person is Thai. I spoke briefly with someone on the phone who said it would take 3-4 weeks and needed all documents translated to Thai--but I got cut off and have had no luck getting back in touch. Would appreciate any advice/experience. Thanks.

2 days tops. no issues, just make sure once you have the marriage certificate you get an official stamped translation

Great thanks! So if they show up at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with all the required docs/translations, etc., first thing in the morning, do you think it could happen same day? I know they're collecting all the paperwork on a Thursday, and planning on going to the Min Foreign Affairs on a Friday morning.
