I think there is a bigger campervan community in Malaysia..

Might be worth looking there. You could always bring it into Thailand on a temp permit, while you do the conversion.

Or maybe you can find a good conversion already complete ?

just checked and it really has a height one can stand in with 191cm ????   intresting car, will look into it - THANKS

Looks like it was really a good hint @cornishcarlos  i just found this one, new about a million Baht and high enough to build something in it.
