The Thai government has boxed in the Baht against speculators.

That just leaves trade

Exports  in excess of imports.

More demand to buy Baht than demand to sell Baht

Hence high price.

If the Thai government wished to lower its value -it would have to sell Baht-which it can print-a buy dollars.

Read more than the headlines, forum rules forbid the source:

Foreign investment into Thailand surged in the first quarter, further evidence that Southeast Asian nations are benefiting as businesses seek new locations in the region to avoid an escalating US-China trade war.

Southeast Asia’s second-largest economy plans to pour about 400 billion baht into expanding airport capacity and connecting major terminals with high-speed railways. As a result, foreign tourist numbers could jump more than 60% by 2029 to about the size of the UK population, projections from The World Travel and Tourism Council show.
