I guess the big problem for the American politicians is what would happen if they would be nice to those immigrants. Imagine they would get decent quality food, shelter and medical care all for free. And then?

There are many millions of American citizens who live on the streets or in horrible conditions. And of course there are 10s of millions (or 100?) who have to pay lots of money for medical care. What will those American citizens say if the (illegal) immigrants get something for free which they don't get.

Maybe it would be good if the Americans would think again if this is what they want? A few super rich and many many very poor? The land of the free...

Interesting news from Oz today re Malaysians running an asylum scam. They enter on an electronic tourist visa, apply for asylum, then appeal when rejected. By the time the process is completed they have had (usually) over 2 years to legally work in Oz.

 

BUT Border Force are on to it and are cancelling their visas before immigration, sending them straight home.
