Tall guy looked useful. Wouldn't wanna mess with him if he got started. ????

He is just a tall guy with muscles. No way is he a fighter !  Just watch the first attack by the little guy. He doesn't know how to block or avoid the swinging helmet. A fighter would never pick someone up like he did. Could take him out in 3 seconds.

useful? sorry what does this mean in this context?

Can handle himself. Can put up his dukes. Can scrummage like the rest of them. Is a little bit tasty.

From the headline... "This is the shocking moment two men in the middle of a busy Bangkok street."  ?????

That was not a what I call a rumble. Whole affair would have been more entertaining if someone had given them a handbag each to go at each other with.

This sort of behaviour is not good for the image of Bangkok....to quote a previous notice

Bigger guy is dressed either as a cop (off-duty) or a security guard (not bottom level). Could easily be both.

This country has become far too violent for me....I'm out of here!

This place is like an Amish picnic by comparison to London and some other cities.

one thing is certain, the motorcylist is a lucky man. the well built taxidriver could very easily  have killed him he has chosen to drop and smash the diminutive motorcylist on the ground

Good luck it didn't happen in the USA with legal guns...

I hear they also have them in Thailand.

Luckily the 'standby' ambulance wasn't needed.  A prime example of forward planning - camera ready? - check; ambulance here? - check; antagonists ready? - check!  OK, good to go!

Yes, but at least in Thailand they are illegal and people are regularly prosecuted for owning and using them.

Many police have second jobs in the security sector (e.g. nightclub security). It is very common. So I don't follow your post.

Oh dear , an English expression , and if he is useful I can't see it as all I get is a white screen.
