The Future Forward party has asked the Constitutional Court to rescind its order suspending its leader, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, from performing his duty as an MP and that the court proceedings on Thanathorn’s media ownership case be held openly.

The requests were made by the party secretary-general, Mr. Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, after the party’s lawyer submitted Thanathorn’s defence documents to the court.

Thanathorn did not show up at the court today, prompting a speculation that he might run away. Piyabutr confirmed, however, that Thanathorn would definitely return to defend his case but, for the time being, he is overseas on a vacation and working trip, which includes meetings with foreign media and politicians.

Hopefully, highlighting the sad state of the Thai government, with the rigged election, and the ridiculous, unelected senate. If so, unfortunately, that would be the final nail in his coffin !

The Junta will hound him and his followers to the borders  & beyond Thailand.

5 years they dictated to everyone, manipulated people into prize positions to gain an election farcical win.

They will now use the next years to cement their victory for the future years and their chosen successors to enjoy!

Talking to foreign media and politicians? Interesting. But the junta no matter what still wants to rack him up and push him out. Too much of a threat for them.

He is still the party leader and leader of the opposition, which put him for premiership. Can submit his statements by other means, read by other MPs, press conferences, social media activity.

He is still protected by parliamentary immunity.

Being outside parliament he might be more effective from the office, from public meetings, conferences, international travel, giving interviews, than being bungled up by seating inside with morons from ppp and under their constant watch.

Opposition should have their own daily or weekly paper, radio channel and Thanat should have role there
