a nice doner kebab....ahhhh yes......

If that's anything like shawarma (or gyros, if you'd rather the Greek version), there used to be a place on Sukhumvit Soi 3, about halfway to Bumrungrad. It was on the side of a beer bar called "Bamboo Bar". Might be gone by now, of course, that was 2005.

(Sorry for the thread gravedigging, I was looking up a restaurant.)

there are alot of shwarma places in the area you mentioned.

you might want to try the Beirut restaurants around BKK, they do a decent shwarma

Lobster Cantonese.

A really thick, cheesy lasagna. Afterwards, flaky, delicate Baklava, accompanied by Irish Cream-laced coffee.

With a giant glass of iced water.

Som Tam and Larb Moo

Tex-Mex food like that found at El Fenix (Dallas) and Joe T. Garcias (Ft. Worth)..........can't find anything remotely like it in Thailand (in fact, there is no Mexican food in Thailand........but I have never tried Miguel's in Chiang Mai)

Turkey and dressing

Real smoked Texas BBQ (can't find it in Thailand)
