Mick Jagger ridicules Donald Trump over Fourth of July speech at Rolling Stones live show

Mick Jagger sent up Donald Trump during a Rolling Stones live show.

 

The musician referenced the US president’s recent claim that the US army had seized airports during a conflict in 1775 – more than a century before the invention of the aeroplane.

 

Trump’s blunder has seen him mocked far and wide.

 

He blamed the error, made during his Independence Day speech in Washington DC, on a faulty autocue.

Everything Trump says is off the cuff, no matter the context, even if he's supposed to be reading from a teleprompter so he doesn't make an ass of himself.  He makes no sense most of the time and doesn't care one way or the other about that, and neither do his followers.  It's no wonder that his message resonates with some forum members here.

Since when employment figures denote a lack of racism? I'm sure many black people are aware of a time when there was very low unemployment figures for black people. They didn't get any wages at all mind you.

He IS going to get another 4 years given the opposition candidates and the gang buster economy, IMO.

For every guy that was in the right place at the right time, and hit the big time, there are probably hundreds just as good. Just less fortunate. Anyway, Brian Jones made it happen and the Stones have just been benefitting from his creation ever since.

End of the day, there have been many groups just as good, or better, but none to talk about now, as there seems to have been a dearth of musical talent. No more Fleetwood Macs, Pink Floyds or Alan Parsons around ( I know F M is still going but it's not really F M without Buckingham ).
