Where to sell a silver bar
Weight of the bar was unspecified. For a medium-sized bar, of 1 kg, buying prices are listed here: https://www.moneymetals.com/buy/silver/bars/kilo-silver-bars You are correct that holding physical bullion does not offer liquidity, because the buyer must first assure himself that the item is genuine. I.e. not only the specified weight but also solid silver of at least 99.9% purity. For ease and rapidity of both purchase and sale, it is best to use a well-established on-line bullion dealer and have them store and insure it for you IN YOUR OWN NAME with a registered bullion storage company where regular independent audits are carried out. Buy and sell from anywhere you have an Internet connection. Proceeds of a sale can only be credited to the bank account you have linked to your bullion-dealer account. [An obvious security precaution] May be worth looking here: https://www.bullionvault.com/ https://swpcayman.com/ https://www.goldcore.com/ Never accept to have your bullion stored by the dealer. This latter point was discovered too late by some Thais who lost their gold at the time of the Asian Economic Crisis. It is recommended not to have bullion stored in your country of fiscal residence, but rather one that is readily accessible. Singapore is an obvious choice for Thailand. Governments are especially rapacious in difficult times. The U.S. government forcibly confiscated private holdings of gold in 1933. Gold is a store of value, which is not the case for fiat currency. E.g. the dollar today is said to have the purchasing power of 3 cents of its 1913 value. Silver is a speculative value. A highly volatile one. But thought by many to be a particularly promising buy at present. Regarding gold ETFs, this may be of interest: https://www.bullionvault.com/gold-guide/gold-etf -

How High Can Bitcoin Go This Cycle?
Yes, but that is the scam of speculative investing. It turns people into irrational degenerate gamblers. And that's why most people ultimately lose. -

I Voted Today
I remember 2000 election. Apparently you don't. A few more votes for Gore would meant what ... he beat Bush by a larger margin ... -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
German pensions: Most people get a pension from their compulsory old age insurance, which is a part of the compulsory social insurance system for most employees. These pensions are not taxed in Germany if you live in Thailand. And Thailand, until now, hasn't taxed them either. Many former employees also get an additional private pension from their former employer. These are mostly taxed in Germany (as @JimGantjust explained). Former civil servants get a pension from the (federal or state) government, taxed in Germany. Former professionals like lawyers and doctors get a pension from their professional associations (bodies governed by public law, where they paid compulsory old-age insurance). I don't know how these are taxed. -

Not-on-Tinder: I met some super nice guy yesterday in CM. A man with some class! Amazing.
Good idea. But it is not a club to join. Even out of the kindness of rabbi they will just "tolerate" you. Hebrew and Yiddish? nobody speaks Yiddish AFAIK. its a lingvo of Eastern European jews, some ugly mix between german, polish and hebrew. don't think about it. However there're some loopholes to become a part of them. In Brooklyn it was about $XX,000. Ivanka Trump used that, why not you (if you're desperate)? And yes, hebrew is the must! I reckon very nice and sweet, yet quite old French jew who couldn't read Torah and speak hebrew. He tried so hard to blend it yet... -

Log-in problems with yahoo mail accounts.
If you use Yahoo and Google get Swiss Protonmail (for free) and have all mail from both to be transferred to Proton automatically. You activate it on Proton. That way you never loose any. It's been working 100% for me for 12 mo. Soon I'll quit my last Gmail but keep Yahoo ones. Yahoo seems to work fastest if I first delete past "History" (1 or 2 days) prior to logging in. -

HSBC Global Money Debit Card
Thanks.I understand it covers Thai Baht and can be used to withdraw from Thai ATMs.But I’m not sure if it can be used as a debit card.Of course one would have to allocate Thai currency but I believe if you don’t it would automatically make the local currency conversion from Sterling. -
