What are the rules today? I would like to transfer money from a foreign bank to my bank account here in Thailand. This money will be used for living here. Will the BOT confiscate 30%? Nobody seems to know, not even my bank here in Bangkok. Does anyone have a clue?

dont know how much you will transfer, but i have transferred over 200k on three separate occasions in the last few months with no withold, and much more than that in the recent past. not even sure why you would expect trouble. Now try to get that money out......

Just asked my Bangkok Bank Branch here in Pattaya if there would be a withhold on my recent transfer from uk. She said NO!
