Disposal of Old Electric/Electronic Items

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a place that will take old, non-functioning electric and electronic items off my hands? I don't believe that the garbage collectors will take such things ... or will they? I have a computer, monitor, printer/copier, fans of various sizes, a bunch of miscellaneous wires, connectors, etc.. Some of those items may be of use to salvage for parts. Some are nothing but trash. So, any ideas on how to safely and lawfully dispose of these things?

Thanks for the ideas. I guess I'll try to catch our garbage pickup truck, and persuade them to haul the stuff away.

Put them outside with a 'for sale' sign & they will be gone within the hour
