Apparently, 40% of sick days taken are either on Mondays or Fridays.

Every doctor I've seen has provided me with a sick note after a thorough medical examination of pulse taking/thermometer reading and having my weight recorded after payment of 100 baht.

I think I can see what you're saying, but as there are five working days in a week, each day is 20% of the total. Therefore logically, Fridays and Mondays are 40%.
