3 Burmese workers dead following collapse at VIP Condo construction site in Rawai

Two workers have been found dead following yesterday’s collapse at the construction site of the VIP Mercury and VIP Galaxy condo and villa site in Rawai. The two migrant workers were trapped under scaffolding that collapsed bringing the death toll to 3. Eight others were hurt.

Thai troops keep close watch on Mon Bridge as debris piles up

The famous Mon (Uttamanusorn) Bridge, Thailand’s longest wooden bridge, is being watched around the clock by the Thai army for fear that it may collapse under the force of strong currents in the Songkalia River and a huge amount of debris which is piling up against the bridge’s superstructure.

Alexander Albon to drive for Red Bull in Belgium

The Formula 1 website released the surprising news this afternoon (August 12th) that the Thai-British driver, Alexander Albon, will replace Pierre Gasly’s in the Red Bull team for the mid 2019 season. He will drive for Red Bull in the 13th competition in Belgium on August 30th and 31st and September 1st, 2019. The 2019 F1 competitions are being held in 21 different countries.

Last 18 Thai fishermen stranded in Somalia arrive home

The last group of 18 Thai fishermen, who had been stranded on fishing trawlers in the seas off Somalia, arrived in Bangkok this morning on a Thai Airways International flight and were welcomed by officials and airline staff at Suvarnabhumi international airport.

FTAs help H1 2019 international trade reach 140 billion USD
