A pig-tailed monkey was very unhappy with his owner's motorcycle driving - so he attacked him after a spill in the south of Thailand.

Tai Teck Tung rescue foundation were called when Sompong Srimai, 52, reported that his companion who had been riding pillion had gone for his back making three deep gashes.

When rescue arrived "Ai Khai" (Eggy) was in a simian strop on the overturned bike.

It was quite an operation to calm him down as he performed some impromptu somersaults.

Sompong explained that he has looked after "Ai Khai" for five years - he helps him collect coconuts in the Sichon area of Nakorn Sri Thammarat by climbing up the trees.

He had got very upset after the chain snapped on his Suzuki bike and they both came off.

Time to trade him in on a new younger one , the monkey that is . The older they get the more aggressive they become .

Should have let the money ride the bike, probably would have done a better job...

Ai Khai should be the head of the Thai department of transportation.

Having seen the standard of Thai motorcycle riding I don't blame the Monkey for going ape s**t.
