The Ministry of Public Health has issued a ministerial announcement to delist hemp extracts, hemp and parts of the hemp plant from the list of Category 5 narcotic drugs to make it possible for the substances to be used in food, cosmetics and medicines.

Under the announcement hemp extracts, such as pure CBD, products mixed with CBD and less than 0.2% of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), can be used in the production of modern or traditional medicines, while hemp seed, hemp seed oil and hemp seed extract can be used in the food and cosmetic industries.

In the first five years following delisting, hemp and parts of the hemp plant, such as hemp seed, products made using these substances are meant for local consumption in order to promote local producers.

I had a sneaking suspicion that the government and its minsters are just about as dumb as they come, is this a confirmation of that fact?

Just eat up with dumb and looking for any possible excuse to parade their stupidity.

Minister is missing out on a possible Thai export:

Importation of Hemp Seeds from Countries other than Canada

Hemp seeds may be imported into the United States from countries other than Canada if accompanied by: 1.) a phytosanitary certificate from the exporting country’s national plant protection organization to verify the origin of the seeds and confirm that no plant pests are detected.

Yep, way over my head, too.

Because he obviously is all for legalisation of medical cannabis, that can treat and help those who are in need of it. Countries that still punish and prevent it's people from having access to such a plant, are living in the dark times. He has half a brain and can see it's a far more positive move than a negative one, to allow at the very least medical CBD and cannabis oil to be accessible.

Let's ask the Fake News Department - they need "practice" before the official launch.
