Sorry, this is old, outdated info. A highly technical scientific study was done on a group of very physically active people in Africa, and contrary to conventional wisdom, detailed energy measurements

Don't eat processed food, massively reduce your carbohydrate intake, don't snack (one or two meals a day), exercise.

  • the sooner people stop looking for a magic pill & take responsibility for themselves with food & or exercise the sooner they will achieve their goals

You would lose weight if you ate carbs as well on only 1200 calories.

On paper, yes. But it all depends on each individual, many that have fat problems even without eating too much usually have a problem with carbs. Cutting carbs it's a shock for the body and for some can be the winning recipe for weight loss. But it's for sure not for everyone as it's heavy on kidneys and it's not healthy to live on keto all time. It's worth trying 4-6 months if you want a dramatic change of your body though.

Have no clue about pills....

Would you be able to get berberine over the counter in Bangkok? And how many did you eat pr. day and at what time of the day.

Its an indian herb you can buy it on ebay and it comes in pill form it does the same things as metformin. Its not a medicine but a supplement. Just google it.

Not on paper, it is 100% true those who don't believe in CICO are just deluded. People would not have become walking skeletons in the concentration and intermentcamps. They got only carbs there and still ended up without fat.

It is true that CICO does needs to be adjusted at times because as bodyweight goes down so does how much you burn. But the same goes for keto and other stuff. There have been many studies and they don't show much benefits of Keto or any other diet over the other on the long run. (except some outlier studies).

But belief what you want, think of the body as a special machine that will magically lose fat if you put in the right fuel even if you eat to much ????

Sure keto can help those who have an insulin resistance problem. But anyone who cuts calories enough will lose weight as less calories is less carbs and so on. I got leaner then ever while eating carbs.

Replace your evening meal with a protein shake, try and stay under 1,000 calories a day, if you get desparate have a protein shake for breakfast also (instead of food, not as well as!). Try that regime for two weeks and see how you fare, take a multi-vitamin every morning for safety sake. Go for a good quality whey isolate protein powder to make the shakes, full fat milk or almond milk works well, add fruit for flavour.

1000 cals/day? unless he is an infant, I would not suggest that! OR a very experienced dieter, 1000 cals (legit 1000 cals) would be very difficult for most to maintain past a few days at best. I would also suggest that the immediate and (almost) guaranteed rebound would be less than pleasing.

Why replace the evening meal? why not the morning or lunch?
