Any local place to get fingerprinting done (denied at Soi 9 Police Station)

Featured Replies

Other older reports have claimed successful fingerprinting at the Beach Road Soi 9 Police Station.

  1. Today I went and spoke to an English speaking officer who said he was 100% sure they could not do it.
  2. He then talked to another Thai police officer who said if I did it there I'd have to wait 1 month whereas Bangkok could do it immediately.
  3. I said that was fine and we went upstairs. There a second desk guy turned me down, saying to go to Bangkok.
  4. Chon Buri was mentioned earlier and I brought it up again, the response was that Chon Buri also has to send it to Bangkok.

My guess is they could have done it but didn't want to.

Do I have other local options for getting this done? I can wait 1+ months for the card to come back.

Try another day your luck.

or just hop in the bus for daytrip to Bangkok.

A friend of mine was seeking employment in the UK in a position dealing with vulnerable people that required a police check with fingerprints. Since my friend had been working in Thailand for the most part of the previous year, the employer needed this police check done in Thailand as well as the UK. From research the only RTP entity that will do this is in Bangkok.

They told you the facts, the prints go to DSI in Bangkok, did mine at nongprue police station in the dark side and took a month to get them back. DSI sent them back to Chonburi first so might be marginally faster.

Surely the OP requires a criminal record check, part of the process, is fingerprinting, copies of which  along with photographs,  passport details, name etc are then circulated nationwide for clearance or otherwise.
