What credentials do you hold?

Legal?

None.

Are "credentials" required here? Does alluding to one's credentials somehow confer extra-super Expert status?

And no, I wasn't in the SAS.

Oh, I see now this is a RW talking point for today.

Scoop: Trump letter dares Pelosi to hold vote on impeachment inquiry

The White House is planning to send Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter as soon as Friday arguing that President Trump and his team can ignore lawmakers' demands until she holds a full House vote formally approving an impeachment inquiry, 2 sources familiar with the letter tell Axios.

https://www.axios.com/white-house-nancy-pelosi-impeachment-vote-86e42e90-8405-4421-911e-a06a29382f56.html

My guess: this is such a fast-moving event, (Collusion Express: First Stop: Impeachment City), that the Speaker is choosing to wait to see what other nuggets drop out. The president is hooked, give him some line, let him flop about and tire himself, then use the hook to land him.

I guess I'm not seeing the Republican strategy here in forcing a formal vote on an Impeachment Inquiry other than as an excuse to obstruct justice?

Be careful what you wish for.

  • Now we know the real reason Trump won't release his educational records, he is as dumb as a rock. Can't imagine China would do anything to help Trump after trade war. I describe Trump like I describe

  • Doubling down on dumbness might not work this time, Donald.

In principle yes. But do Trump supporters understand that?

Yes, there will be a vote on Article(s) of Impeachment. Can we allow them to be drafted first?

We can't wait for an election, sorry, that genius has bolted the stable.

He'll do anything to cheat and steal another election. Allowing an emboldened criminal to continue his crime spree is, well, CRAZY.

How’s it going so far?!

And there are still people out there who support him. Amazing, and so sad.

Political candidates are trying to have their political opponent investigated. What is the difference if Trump stoops to the same tactics? The dems need to put impeachment to a vote on the floor or they are doing the same thing or even worse.

Trump is using the power of the office of President, US DoJ and State Department staff to do his ‘investigation’/put pressure on other nations to deliver false accusations.

Sadly, I’m not at all surprised, you can’t figure out what’s wrong with that.

Well then let's have a vote on the house floor or an election. Pretty simple stuff.

Both are coming.

If the dems can start witch hunts why not Trump? If anybody says it is to interfere with the election then they need to take a long hard look at the impeachment train wreck.

And what witch hunt are you fantasizeing about surly not the muller investigation were the one and only thing standing between Donald and an indictment is because he is potus?

The same as the dems are using their office to do the same. Let's get the small talk out of the way either you have the conviction to vote for impeachment or you go on with life. Now is a very critical moment for the dems if they simply did the right thing it would be a start.

I am not even defending Trump here. I am saying that the dems need to take a vote or win by election. You can't just say Trump blew his lid. You have to take actionable measures. You can not just run an inquisition on a whim for several years. Impeach the mofo or run against him. If there is proof he is mentally unfit to stay in office by all means take the appropriate measures to remove him.

By suppressing the vote on the floor it deprives the defense of due process under the law. The dems are trying to have it both ways.

You are confusing criminal law with Impeachment, they are not the same thing.

Though interference with witnesses and obstruction of Congress have parallels in the law.

Perhaps you should be more critical of Trump’s use of heads of US Government Services to obstruct Congress, hide records Congress has a legal right to see and interfere with witnesses being called before Congress.

If Trump and his enablers answer to subpoenas, hand over the records Congress has a right to see, the impeachment can proceed with the haste Illiberals tell us they wish to see.

"Impeachment" is just a show by the gasping, desperate swamp, knowing they are cooked in 2020. There will be no impeachment and Trump will win in a landslide in 2020.

Im sure you can tell us how much their already substantial incomes and assets have increased due to their positions, other than their personal portfolio increases due to their economic polices. O wait, they must have gotten a tax cut.

Sorry my friend, I only commented about the Bidens because in my mind, when you start off ordinary and come out rich from public service there is something wrong, vis a vis, the Big Bad Orange Man making a point on a $140 room. Biden isnt the only one: Harry Reid, John Boehner, Al Gore, The Clintons, the Obamas....but rather than argue the facts of each one, note they all got rich from politics, just think of Clubber Williams finally getting his Tenderloin

Don’t fret, Ivanka and Jared will get the attention they deserve, each thing in its own time

Congress has a Constitutional duty to hold the executive in check.

Ivanka would be the next president if impeachment went to trial and succeeded. Not sure what would happen if Trump was ejected a month before an election.

Is this the same Ivanka who benefited from the unusually rapid Chinese approval of her trademarks?

Vaguely ominous. Is this some sort of threat?

Maybe take a break, and get back on the rails?

You mean like the Qataris bailing out Jared from his disastrous investment in 666 Fifth Ave? They gave him an extraordinary sweetheart deal which makes no financial sense at all.

One person can make a mistake and come to realize and admit it.

How many voted Trump to be POTUS ?

If I could learn from my mistakes I would be a genius instead I just get really good at making them,I am now at the point where I can make many mistakes at once and still not learn much. The mistake I try most to avoid is thinking I am smarter than I am or smarter than anybody else.Trump wants people to think he is dumb because if they think he is dumb they think they will win and if you think you've got it won you're in trouble.

How many voted for Trump?Enough people voted for Trump for him to become President.

I like how Trump makes his own rules and plays his way.If others can make up rules why can't he make up rules? Why would you want to adhere to rules made up by others, and who made up the rule that people have to follow the rules that others made up?

If people don't understand what Trump is doing what he does and why he is doing it,then he becomes harder to stop or be defeated.

The House has its plan and schedule, and its members don't care if you want a different schedule.  Get over it.

Ok, so the lauded US Constitution is a farce and elected representatives of a gullible public need succumb  even if that representative is seen to display and act as unaccountable to anyone except self in interest?

Discard rules and suffer chaos ? Each to their own?

Would  you consider that as applicable to every facet of social order such as road rules, criminal behaviour with no limit, safety standards of any form of imposition, etc?

What a savage world we would have as  cavemen! Or are we still?

Just when you think this total train wreck of a Presidency could not possibly get any worse--it does.  Impeach him, throw him out, and we'll roll the dice with Pussy Pious Pence till 2020.

Nyezhov you are absolutely correct.  I cannot believe the insane number of people on these boards who are clueless about the true corruption in the US and around the world.  The Biden's, Obama's, Clinton's, Bush's, Schiff, Pelosi, Nadler, Schumer, AOC, Omar, Tliab, RINO's and so many more are very dirty and corrupt.  The so-called Main Stream Media is also just as corrupt with continued everyday 24/7 "reporting" the clown approved 4am talking points, almost all fake news.  These people have been caught and many have committed crimes of sedition, treason, and worse.  Including many in the FBI, DOJ, CIA, and others....

Oh and yes, I know the definitions of sedition and treason, I know the US codes for them, and I know the penalties.  And what did the federal gov't reinstate in July of this year?

So many will be totally shocked when all of the deep state swamp is fully exposed.  They love their beloved Clintons, Obamas, and so on...

So let all of the ridiculing and laughter start, it's ok.
