This movie old, but maybe some you guy like it. About caucasion and sex worker.

Pregnant with the lovechild of one of her customers, ex-Soi Cowboy prostitute Koi sits around watching daytime soaps. Her boyfriend, Tobias, an overweight Dane, gives her an elephant plushie and a gold bracelet for which he paid too much at MBK Center. She eats rice with pla too mackerel, he eats toast. At night in bed, she turns away from him.

“We know that foreigners love the look of rural, Isaan women. If we chose a Chinese-looking Bangkok face, we wouldn’t be able to sell the film,” Waller said.

Thanks for the info, but I am unlikely to be watching it.

It looks as if it may be rather focused on Western/Thai stereotyping/types, had quite enough of that already thankyou.

Would prefer to see a film based on one of Pira Sudhams stories.

Suggest that anybody should read his work before visiting Thailand.

He is Thai, but writes in English.

There are quite a few movies about Thailand.  Spirit house was the last one I saw. Theres another about a Thai cop. Most of the films dont ring true.

Not so different  to Hollywood/Bollywood misrepresentations. It is entertainment  after all.

Thai movie  "Jack fruit Ghost"  (not sure if that is the  real title)  is quite close to Isaan  reality in more ways than not ! lol

555. Yes !  Westerners who watch this  might  not see the  humour as well as the sad self recognition of socially instituted superstition.

I would  rather watch this than  the  banality of   "Rambo" as an alternative .

There are  many such Thai movies  that do only suggest self criticism but incorporate the  reality of  community in that !

I met him several times in the early 1990s both in the NE and in Bangkok. Quite a character.

Yinn and gang watch this movie today, raining Ranong, have spare time.

can not finish. Nude scene to much, so ugly. Not watch the end.

The movie make us laugh a bit, and depressing a lot.

Feel bad for the actress must kiss this guy. Yuk.

The farang character like to play Thaivisa!!!

Silly generalization.

It would be more accurate to say that Isaan women are much more readily available to the average falang than their Chinese-looking counterparts.
