I think the quote above sums things up nicely.   I am not a fan of Trump and want to see him tossed out on his ass as soon as possible for both the good of the US and the good of the planet

  • Anti-Trumpers are so obviously indoctrinated by the MSM (fake news)  funded by George Soros and his mates (Globalists).  The idle gossip you refer to (Infowars and Fox News) are telling the truth.

  • Yawn.  Sorry, yet another nothing burger.  The Senate leaders have already said they will throw this "impeachment" out quickly should it arrive based on this absurd, flawed process.

"It's a sad day. No one comes to Congress to impeach a president," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said before the vote.

Jeez, what an idiotic statement.  Dems have been looking at instances, behaviors, lies by POTUS and degrading POTUS since his inauguration almost 3 years ago.  Now it is sad?

For someone as shallow as Trump, that has been happening for years already. Just sad that so many gullible fools voted for him!

By next year, the global downturn will reach America and the economy will be Trump's achiles heel.

The nothing burger will be Trump as a footnote in history...

What’s left of the Republican Party will turn Trump into a coffee boy in the next election cycle... Fox News will move onto a new lie to keep its gullible viewers tuned it... We in our lifetime will see Trumps name removed from every building he owns in bankruptcy...

What will remain is a proud historical record of honorable men who put the rule of law, duty and love of country above the powers of personal greed & ignorant prejudice...

I hope you are right but  as the process moves forward- there must be a careful, well presented and accurate case presented to the American people with corraborating evidence.

There must be people in the Trump  inner circle who provide  evidence and commentrary showing the following:

1.  Trump has Obstructed justice in the Mueller probe and other cases involving hiding his tax returns and ignoring and ostructing the Us Congress from providing oversignt.

2.  Conspiring with a foreign power (Ukraine, Rusia) to influence a US election

3.  Violation of the Emoulument clause of the US Constitution- Trump and his minions blatantly using the Presidency to enhance himself financially.

4.  Coninual lieing to the US Public and the US Congress.

All of this combined are more than enough for impeachment and conviction.Any reasonable pereson would vote to remove him from office.

To convict Trump in the Seanate there has to be 67 yes votes.  To get to this number- several Republicans will need to put the country ahead of personal gain.

It would be much better for the country if  Trump was visited by the Republican 'wise  men'- Senator Mitch McConnel and other  Senate leaders and inform him he needs to resign.

Here's the deal Donald-  resign now; spare the country more division- Pence becomes President and provides a complete pardon- go home to New York and run your business.

However-  once it's time for the vote- you will lose because this group will vote against you- you will leave the White House in disgrace; Pence still becomes President but he won't pardon you and you will be tried, convicted and imprisoned.  It's called the  Art of the Deal.   You have 1 hours to agree.

The drive to delitgitimize and impeach my President has reached its goal! It started 19 minutes after...

Jan 20, 2017 - The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun ... (Claritza Jimenez/The Washington Post) ... The impeachment drive comes as Democrats and liberal activists are mounting broad opposition to stymie Trump's agenda.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/01/20/the-campaign-to-impeach-president-trump-has-begun/

Sadly, In my opinion,it is with great consequences ! The office of the POTUS,commander and chief, the most powerful leader of the world which has lasted for more than two centuries has now been what seems like pummeled by forces from within my country and more than likely subjected to  more intrusion by opposing political parties in the future.

There is one last hope however!  The founder Alexander Hamilton had vision to see this coming when the founding fathers designed the Constitution and debated impeachment ,they had insight to realize political parties   cunning ,hostility and abusive powers can not be trusted with the peoples house.

"Where else than in the Senate could have been found a tribunal sufficiently dignified, or sufficiently independent? What other body would be likely to feel CONFIDENCE ENOUGH IN ITS OWN SITUATION, to preserve, unawed and uninfluenced, the necessary impartiality between an INDIVIDUAL accused, and the REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE, HIS ACCUSERS"?

'The drive to delegitimize and impeach' YOUR President started when YOUR President decided it was a good idea to ask a foreign nation for a 'favour' to investigate a political opponent, therefore committing a Campaign Finance Violation, an impeachable offence.

The simple fact is that he was elected the leader of the US and has failed; this is not a fairy tale with a happy ending.

That said, Trump brought all this on himself through his own actions. Period.

A truly intelligent person would have surrounded himself with all the experts that they could find, implemented a rational decision-making process and studied the consequences of actions BEFORE choosing them. Trump did not do this.

A truly intelligent person would have selected a team of good people to work with him to implement a positive agenda, but Trump instead chose to display disloyalty from the top and petty, malicious behaviour which sickened honourable people and precluded them from joining his administration.

A truly intelligent person would have worked to keep the US as a beacon of light in an ever-darkening world and laid the groundwork for even more long-term stability, freedom and growth; Trump did not do this.

A truly intelligent person would have understood that it was an honour and privilege to serve their country as President and not have used the office for personal gain.

I have said it before and will say it again;

Donald Trump is an ever-expanding cloud of toxic waste that defiles everything it touches.

Let this nightmare end.

The only "nightmare" is the corrupt, communist democrat party.

Neither of them were/are High Functioning Sociopaths.

Which is what Trump is.

That is what has got him where he is (his level of "intelligence" being marginally relevant).

It is also what must, ultimately, destroy him.

It is up to America whether or not it lets his sociopathy destroy America as well.

He's all here:

Traits Of A High Functioning Sociopath | Betterhelp

All true, but the problem is not that such people exist, many are quietly "In care" for their own and others benefit. The problem is what it says about the American people who elected him (Somewhat similar to the problem with the people who voted Brexit in the UK). America's great sage (And great wit also) "The Baltimore Sage" put it precisely in these words:-

"As democracy is perfected, the office of President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach the heart's desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron."

H.L.Menchen  July 26, 1920.

How alarmingly prescient - maybe they hadn't defined sociopathic back then, otherwise he would probably have included it.

He basically impeached himself. His words and actions left Pelosi no choice. Sure he probably won't be convicted in the senate but impeaching him at least will give pause to any future president tempted to abuse her power in a similar way.

That will take away his only bragging rights. With his unfulfilled promises of the wall, Obamacare alternative, reducing the deficit, protect the steel, coal industries which are collapsing; he is running on empty. His core supporters will still support him till kingdom come but the majority want him to go away. He is on his last leg.

Now all witnesses will be compelled to abide by the law-Trump no longer has control-if they bring multiple counts in different areas, which they should, we will be allowed to hear multiple reasons for the ejection of the child bully.  I don’t expect the republicans to convict, but let the truth be told in public.  65 percent of Americans want to hear.  Note-many of the independent voters, that make up 30 percent of voters, are going will hearings

I think most conservatives know he is a lying fraud. But they don't care because you think he is hurting liberals so that is OK.

The attitude of many conservatives undermines democracy.

The process is flawed.  You've been told this many, many times yet you continue to post a false narrative.

Not a single republican voted for it and even a few democrats were against it. Doesn’t bode well for a removal by a republican controlled senate.

Still issues with transparency as democrats hold veto power over republican subpoenas and witnesses. Trump’s legal counsel can also not be present.

I post facts. Proven facts. The dems are legally doing their job. They are following the rules the repubs changed.

Now, as you state it is flawed please indicate which rules or laws are not being followed.

You made a claim, so back it up.

Because its not a trial, thats why counsel is not present. Counsel can attend the trial in the senate. Trump supporters just cannot understand basic facts.

Here is the Reality Koolaid:

1. Mueller was going to get Trump.

Nope (just as I predicted)

2. The SDNY was going to get Trump.

Nope (just as I predicted)

3. The House is Going to Get Trump

Nope, I doubt they will be even able to draft articles of impeachment

4. A whole bunch of the nomenklatura are going to be indicted

Yep, that should be in a week or so.

5. Trump will be relected in a landslide.

So, who drank the Mueller Koolaid here? Not me. I prefer the reality flavour.

You can call me names now. I understand that so many of you Trump  opponents have had your dreams dashed, that he is still there, haunting your nightmares and you have the need to lash out. its OK. I love you all anyway, even the misguided are still human.
