Bamboo blinds shop for fix?

I have a pair of bamboo blinds I’d like to get fixed.

The problem is the edge most thread moving and coming off. I'm thinking maybe this thread stays in place with a touch of latex glue and the edge could be rethreaded like that.

Or maybe to not have thread near the edge but a piece of brown tape folded over.

See pics  which show how they should be and how they have slipped
