Seeking "experienced Doctor" in Ubon Ratchathani.

Not any doctor obviously, you need a GI specialist. Sappitprasong is the main government hospital in town and is a regional level facility so should have GI specialist but I can't say how easy to arrange a colonoscopy there.

May I ask if this is a routine colonoscopy or are you experiencing problems? As if the latter I will urge you to go to Bangkok.

We had a member on this board who had a colonoscopy up country which clearly showed a cancer but it was misread, he was told all was fine, and had a long delay in diagnosis as a result which of course meant worse prognosis. So I am very wary of advising anyone symptomatic of seeing other than colorectal specialists I am sure are good and I do nto know any in Ubon. (Not saying there are none, just that I don't know).

By the way there is no medication option for treating growths in the rectum or colon (unless you mean chemotherapy, but hopefully that is nto relevant to your situation).  Remove and biopsy, that is it. Removal can usually be done during the colonoscopy.
