Haven't read this thread since Khall's first post so missed the news. Fingers crossed, hope let's hope she's on the road to a full recovery...

Got thru to Seonai today by ringing her Hospital phone after swapping texts for the last couple of days due to mobile problems.

Well, Seanai had the results of her CT scan today/yesterday? and it shows no abnormal blood clots that might be causing her to be coughing up blood, so good news on one hand and bad news on the other, still no diagnosis for the bloody sputum.

However, Seonai has asked about when she can go home and they say this is open for some form of discussion next week, read into that what you will.

But they are relenting slightly to allowing her to short periods of time outside the wards, so lock the doors of the local pubs and confiscate the passport I'd say :o

So some good news and some not so good news.

Thank you for the update Moss !

Long live technology and hopefully medical science will catch up! Seonai and I have swapped work ideas (both writers) and girly gossip by SMS this past week. If all else fails, send a text message... as always, she sounds cheery - just wish her body and hospital treatments would kick ass too!!! :o

Spoke to Seanai today,

fourth week in hospital, things looking a little better!

She had gone for a walk outside the hospital and so was quite breathless, so still a long way to go.

Still coughing up blood, so that is really not good, but not absolutely unusual for this type of illness, however the cocktail of sweets she is on appear to be making a difference, and the racking cough was not so evident today as it has been in the past and in recent conversations.

Still hoping to get out this week or next.

She hasn't been able to get access to the internet, so asked me to say Hi to all on the forum.

So Hi from Seanai

Moss

best wishes again....

hope u get better real soon!

Just an update.

Unfortunately Seanai is still in Hospital they appear unable to stop the TB from growing even though they are hitting it with a succession of Combination drugs, it appears to be thriving in a hole knocked through by the original attack.

Recuperation is nowhere near where it should be.

On a brighter note she is still joking, she told me to say, she was just, " Lighting up another and the *@*!/? was not going to beat her".

Which is not true of course, the first part of the quote not the latter part, that is.

Sorry to hear Moss...

I wonder, did Seonai have a second opinion in London ? I might be able to contact some influential people; you never know.

Please let me know if needed and/or necessary.

LaoPo

Yes she did Laopo as she was a little disgruntled with the initial views, but she seems much happier with the present Doc.

I was a little perturbed when she told me today, I have only given a sanitized version, because we speak regularly and I thought things were getting better, sometimes it is hard to decipher the reality when she keeps cracking jokes.

But thanks for the concern, I will pass it on and let you know Seanai's response.
