Hi forum,,,need some advice on transfering motorbike,,,I purchased a motorbike with Bangkok plates,,,,I want to transfer it in to my name and also I believe Change the Bangkok reg plate to Chonburi plate,,,has anyone done this themselves without using an agent,,,,I understand it might be a task but I'm not exactly busy here,,,,if anyone can help it would be appreciated,,,,also what would the Cost be for doing this,,,thanks

Can you do this at Pattaya now... when I did my truck I had to go to Chonburi City. (years ago).

Every time I had to change number plates I had to go to the main DLT in Chonburi ( 60 odd Kilometre drive from Pattaya)

they will want to inspect the bike so you need to take it there..and then pick up the number plate another day...so that's another 120 km.

 

also to put it in your name you'll need a "certificate of residence"  which is easiest obtained from Jomtien immigration for 300 baht...( plus 2 passport sized photos)
