I live in Pattaya..If I stay in a hotel in Pattaya for just one night

do I or anyone else have to complete a TM.30 ?

Or is there anything I should do?

your likely better off just paying the fine at immigration if it ever comes to that.

 

worrying about it every time you leave home is bs. and just one person misses or fails to report and your stuck with the fine anyhow.

No, hotels are supposed to take care of it. The issue might be where you return to. If not a hotel a report may be required, it would depend on what area. Remember it is only ever a concern if you need the services of domestic immigration later, and they query your TM30 record. That does not include the airport or border crossings.
