Daily News reported what they said was a terrible tragedy after a man called Thaweesak, 54, was found hanged at a house in Surasak sub-district of Si Racha, Chonburi, yesterday.

Mr Thaweesak was in a seated position attached to an electrical cord and had been dead for about two hours. The cord was attached to a beam in a carport next to the single story detached house.

There was no sign of foul play.

He had just been released from hospital after being admitted following an attempt to kill himself by slashing his own neck on November 7th. He had been suffering from many illnesses.

Mr Thaweesak was the patient in the ambulance with its siren sounding on the expressway when the driver of a black Mercedes Benz refused to get out of the way.

He even stuck his middle finger up.

The incident - that happened on November 9th when the patient was being transferred from one hospital to another - caused much comment on Thai social media and was widely reported.

A female representative of the company that owned the car went to apologize after the incident, notes Thaivisa.
