(Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump has invited British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to visit him in the White House in the new year, Britain's Sunday Times newspaper reported http://bit.ly/35N97uI.

The report added that Trump's invitation to Johnson was made after the British prime minister's recent election win. Formal discussions on the exact timing of Johnson's visit are yet to held, the newspaper reported, citing Downing Street sources.

"Some potential dates have been floated in mid-January but nothing has yet been formally agreed. But it is clear that both sides want to make it happen some time in early 2020," the report quoted a source close to the White House as saying.

Well at least his gf doesn't need the Pelosi botox wax face job!

She looked ready to wet herself with excitement when she read out the impeachment vote results; but breaking into a big grin was a no no. Self discipline aided by all that botox!

Wonder if the new EU leadership will crack down on corporate tax evasion and member states attracting overseas businesses with very low tax rates?

Screw Ireland and Luxembourg if they do.

A rematch of the Thatcher/Reagan alliance would be a very good thing.

I find if I tune out the specific identity of these two leaders, I can appreciate that a meeting of this kind is a good thing and I can also keep my food down as well!

As this meeting is about the U.S. - U.K. "special" relationship, this very recent article detailing the impact of the election of 45 on various countries of course also has a section about the U.K. It's quite interesting.

A special ally, affronted by a caricature come to life

Most Brits reacted to Donald Trump’s ascent with both horror and relief. Horror because of his character, relief because we’d just voted to leave the European Union and were quietly glad we weren’t alone in embarrassing ourselves.

For the political class, though, the response was strategic chaos.
