So this guy gets up in the morning putt up his shirt and pants and while sipping his first cup of coffee of the day he get this brainstorm idea that i needs to say something to the people today to justify my position and the huge salary and perks i'm getting, so, humm, what to say, what to say that sound important, leader like stuff and it will be beneficial to the people? I know, I know now, i will say something about peace, democracy, freedom and our country Thailand and we the people blah blah blah...  find a good place to say it like among children and old folks... Pheew, hard work being a PM, maybe i should put for a raise huh?... now where is my Limo and body guards?...

He wakes up in the morning and thinks "What can I feed the mushrooms this morning.....More bull$#!t, they thrive on it!"

This begs the question:  Why does he still march lockstep with the ChiComs?

Exports contracting, western tourism diminishing, Mekong receding, and Thai Baht now one of the most overpriced currencies on the planet.

Is he implying that they currently don't have democracy?

Confuscianism.

"...........a diffused civil religion in contemporary China, finding that it expresses itself in the widespread worship of five cosmological entities: Heaven and Earth (Di 地), the sovereign or the government (jūn 君), ancestors (qīn 親) and masters (shī 師)."

...........as interpreted via Chinese Communism and Thai Falangism.

"Falangism emphasized the need for total authority, hierarchy and order in society"

(As does at least one of our "notable" members)

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said today that his government wants to see Thailand and the Thai people of all ages make progress toward democracy together and be free of conflict.

The first step comes from the top, stop victimising opposition which is true democracy.

Practice democracy and the people will follow, no need for conflict.

A very good start would be a democratically (i.e. not rigged) voted in parliament, and senate.

No it wouldn't. Because sadly you'd get the same old corrupt powerful crime families rigging it with bribery, coercion, etc.

A good start would be a sweeping change of the judicial system to ensure all laws are clear, and are applied equally and fairly to everybody; and a real clampdown on corruption, regardless of who they are.

That followed by open and free elections might do it.

Ain't gonna happen though.

It seems that your attitude is somewhat set against Thailand and the way it's run. You appear to dislike anything Thai or anything the government does to help the Thai people with agricultural projects, new schools, hospitals and infrastructure.

If it's such a bad place why waste your time living here.  Life is too short to have to put up with staying somewhere you hate, why not try the Philippines or Cambodia.

There are plenty of other places you can look at without waking up each day and having so much hate instilled in your day. Your adding of emoticons such as this one only solidifies this hatred.

Be happy each day .... not sad ... ????

Stop comparing bad with bad.
