The government reporting on this is like reporting there is traffic on Sukhumvit.

You can see the bad air.

It took a place like California billions of dollars and about 10 years to change it.

So, it will never change here just worse and worse I fear.

Sorry but is there any Thais who has any understanding what polluting our air means, or to put it differently is there anyone who pays any attention of the most important element of our life which without couldn’t even exist longer than few seconds. If they do, then they could understand the basic like the smoke of the vehicles only that contains itself more than 1500 types of chemicals, if they would be conscious about this why they should run their vehicles for no reason everywhere during parking, or even the parking motobikes, or who would want to have the foods from the roadside which are fully exposed and contaminated with those heavy metal particles etc. just the very basic to mention. Ignorance of life.

When surface winds mix with smog, you get a mitigating effect on dangerous air pollution.  Most politicians can supply ample amounts of hot air, to help alleviate the problem.  And fortunately, Bangkok has an abundant supply of politicians.

Why not just pin this?  The air quality is horrible every day.  When it gets "hazardous", then let's panic.

You may well get your wish if the current forecasts for the week ahead turn out to be accurate.

As bad as this past week has been, the coming week is forecast to be worse!!! As evidenced by the purple (very unhealthy) shadings in the air quality forecast.

While in the ivory tower life continued as normal!

If we really knew the number of minutes of o uh r lives we lose for time exposed to various pollution levels.   Unfortunately for post of us death comes many years later so it's hard to measure cause and effect
