The Pollution Control Department (PCD) has reported an improvement in the air quality in Bangkok and neighbouring provinces.

As of 7am on Friday (January 24), the average particulate matter smaller than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) in the air was around 25 to 55 micrograms per cubic metre.

The PCD said the amount of particles in almost all areas was likely to decrease, as compared to Thursday’s reading.

One area with unhealthy level of particles -- in the orange zone -- was near Lat Phrao Soi 95 in Wang Thonglang district of Bangkok.

The PCD warned people living in this area to avoid outdoor activities and use self-protection equipment if needed.

People can monitor the PM2.5 situation through Air4Thai.com, ‘Air4Thai’ mobile application, and bangkokairquality.com.

We have had a small improvement here this morning, only 97, until yesterday over 150, at the moment, 15.39 is growing again and probably in the evening it will reach the levels of before!
If in Bangkok you only have 25 to 55, be happy.

Every breath you take in Bangkok and most of Thailand is dangerous to your health. The Govt doesn't care about the people except at voting time !

The Nation with Thai Visa are not better than all their fellow journalists, a mass of fearful people who are unable to do their job properly!

When you use numbers like above without explanation, no one can really know whether you're talking about micrograms of PM2.5 levels or AQI values, which are two related but entirely different things.
