The aggravating drought situation in Nakhon Ratchasima province has put locals under great stress with many areas, such as Si Suk subdistrict, completely running out of water supplies, according to a report.

The subdistrict administration organisation, together with the provincial administrative organisation, has sent water trucks to the drought-hit areas day and night.

Sawang Wittaya Community School is one of the places that is in desperate need of water.

Meanwhile, the ponds of Wat Hin Mongkol temple, which were used to produce tap water, have dried up.

The report said the area has not seen rains since mid-2019, and the groundwater was not enough to meet the demand of people.

The people are completely dependent on the water trucks provided by the government.

This operation is planned for two months, to meet the daily demand for 100,000 litres of water.

Mission accomplished by the Prayut  pro-military government?

They are lucky.

Here in Khon Kaen we have to buy our water from private company trucks,.

I will never understand anything about the carelessness of Thai people ..
A few months ago this province was under 2 to 3 meters of water and today it is drought.
Unable to build reservoirs to conserve water?
My friend who has a big farm in the province of Sakon Nakhon has had a reservoir dug 5 meters deep ( 50 m x 10 m ) and will soon be digging a third; there is already one that is very far from being empty when it draws 4 to 5 m3 of water every day from it ... for a long time ...
