Maybe you should visit the USA. It seems they have mass killings usually several times a month.

Then, when you come back, you will feel safe again in Thailand.

I was not concerned but answering (not seriously????) to someone asking the question who seems to be worried about "his" safety! As far as I'm concerned I feel 1000% safe here ☺️ To tell you everything much safer than in some neighborhood of my own country????
I will therefore avoid the huge unnecessary costs ???? that you are kind enough ???? to advise me to try. ????

The majority of ordinary Thai people are happy for western people to be here, and will make you welcome.

My gf and children seem happy I'm here.

Don't really care what any other Thais think, I try to avoid contact with all other humans as much as I can.

I would recommend a mask for the mrs. but I dont see them as a critical component.

Hygiene is more important.

The biggest benefit of these masks in terms of Coronavirus is that you cannot accidentally / habitually touch your nose / mouth / face. We all do this dozens if not hundreds of times during the day without even noticing; it’s an automatism. It’s the main reason why I put my mask on when I leave the condo, because I know I will touch surfaces, money and other stuff outside and I might not always be able to wash my hands after. This and the protection against the pollution (if you actually have a mask with a filter).

The expert (@Sheryl) has spoken. Sheryl is invited to add to this comment but airplanes recirculate the air that you breath.

My X seemed to be prone to all kinds of viruses. More than once, we flew to a vacation destination and she was sick a few days after arrival.

I have heard some specialist actually saying the opposite, that modern airplanes, are really safe and good when it comes to clean air. But he might have just said that in order to calm people down.

You sound just like my old friend Greg Arious.

Door handles are high risk on toilets. As is sitting next to people.

Lots of people catch flus on planes.
