Thai Amulet Authenticate

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I have a thai amulet called Somdej Wat Rakang, it was given to my dad by his Thai friend somewhere 30 years ago

After searching on the Internet I belive it is Somdej Wat Rakang.

Does anyone know where I can verified it and Authenticate it in Bangkok?

I see this kind of amulet cost alot of money if its the original ones

I would like to know more where I can get it authenticate the amulet

Thank you

Famous amulet market bangkok by the museum i think its pronounced Prah pah chan but has a huge amount of fake stuff but most sellers know whats what....you may find fakes on e.bay and get the location for a vist.

Thank you for the Information

I have gone to local amulet shop in where I am most of them said its original but they are afraid to say the value of the amulet until it gets verified by an authenticator

Many ask me to leave it in their shop so they can help me sell it but Im a it sceptical to leave my amulet with them

It make get changed to a fake ones

So I am planing to go Bangkok to a bigger shop and get their opinion

Few years back I went to 10 shops 9 says its original price ranging from 50k to 100k baht

And only 1 shop says its fake

So I think the best is to get amulet company to do grading on this thing and receive like a certificate or something

Most if not all street stall sellers are hustlers, ive just seen some samples of your amulet on the bay starting bids as low as 35 bht, the big shop owners are your best shot.
