Popular Post webfact
Thai police warn that heavy fines, prison awaits those responsible if "Skullbreaker Challenge" goes wrong The RTP spokesman has warned Thais - especially youth - not to post videos of people attempting the "Skullbreaker Challenge". The challenge involves two people kicking the feet from under a third participant as they jump in the air. This then knocks the third person off balance, often causing them to land on their head. It was reported by Thaivisa at the weekend that people on the popular Tik Tok app were posting. Pol Col Krissana warned people not to post videos of the craze that started in South America. He said that there are fines up to 60,000 baht if injuries result and people can be jailed for 3 years. Even ten years if someone died. I would also like the Thai police to take charge of the Thai newspapers and TV which post videos of the Khorat carnage as well as these thousands of videos of fatal accidents on the road. To believe that the only thing that makes the Thai being hard is the death, preferably violent, of his neighbor.

If Thai police were to ever become as brutal as that of their Chinese counterparts (some will say, Thailand is China's lapdog anyway) then watch how quickly attitudes will change. Of course now, no one cares because the police here are so corrupt and carefree, you can get away with just about anything, especially if you have money. That may very well change, if Thailand were to ever change along Chinese lines... 5

PeeJayEm
What the Police have issued is a perfectly reasonable and responsible message of awareness. What else are they supposed to do? In case the old white fogeys here criticising the Police on this action have completed their progress to having gone bush, demented and unreal, for your information it’s actually what a responsible Police service in any western country would also be expected to do.
