Motorbike Service Darkside

Can anyone recommend a good bike service shop on the "Darkside" Preferably Khao Talo, Khao Noi area.

Whenever I get my 135 Yamaha "serviced" they only change the oil despite me asking for them to check brake pads, oil and fuel filters etc.

They don't seem to understand the concept of a Service.

Changing the oil is pretty much it!

Do you have oil and fuel filters?

There is an air filter that might benefit from blowing out.

Brake pads, just a quick look verifies if there is enough left on them.

I took mine to a better shop in Naklua hoping to get a more comprehensive service... they put a new tyre on without so much as asking but overlooked a split vacuum line. Oh well, they had to make a profit.... if it works, don't fix it eh?

Funny that--I have a Yamaha 135 cc serviced 3 weeks ago.

I think the same way as you and the bike is in mint condition with 11 k on it. I like ever thing checked and done.

I recommend the bike shop which  is 100 meters down from The courtyard restaurant in Porn pram nimit 22 main road going up from the temple on the left hand side.Same side as restaurant.

I call him spanners tall skinny guy and my wife spoke with him in Thai telling him to do to the motorbike the same as you are asking.

Result-Bike Serviced-Brake caliper was seized on front brake (Lying inside house unused for a year)Sorted-Put oil in the front dampers (Top up)Put new front brake pads to bike  (Seen the old ones)Oil and filter ete.

Here is the good bit and i kind of know the guy because he serviced it last year as well and had to get new Michelin tires --which he had to go get-- when i insisted on Michelin not some of the cheap makes.  The bill all in including material for this service--600 baht.

He had the opportunity to rip me off and he did not--i am not saying you will have the same experience.

Good advice from above-Take a thai with you and tell him he is recommended from the farang up the road.

Best of luck.
