Arrests made at Wat Chaimongkhol Temple

Tourist police were able to arrest many illegal immigrants (Cambodians) during Wat Chaimongkhol Temple’s yearly festival.

On 3rd April the Tourist Police inspected Wat Chaimongkhol Temple where they had their annual festival and found a lot of beggars around the area.

It took 20 officers to detain 16 beggars and when the officers asked for their ID it was found that 14 of them were illegal Cambodian immigrants. They were aged from 3 years old up to 43 years old.

At the station all confessed that they sneaked into Thailand illegally through the border and spread around festivals as beggars for a living.

Further proceedings according to the law will now be made on these unfortunate people.
