It is like this. Red light districts have their own rules. And if you go there you better know them or you better stay away.

Some of us obviously know more about "the rules" than some on here that think Pattaya is a cheap version of New York.

It is like this. Some meet Noi, Nok or whom ever at a bar and such guys feel that they control the situation. The red light districts and the bar businesses are very well organized to get your money - without your money they can't survive. Nothing special - just a business like many others. And Noi and Nok work for them.

Reminds me of the old joke with two guys standing beside each other at a urinal. First one says" Water's cold.".

The other one replies "and deep".

Worst retelling of a Richard Pryor joke ever!

This incident was nothing short of set up, assault and attempted robbery. Don't think that is part of beer bars repeat business plan.

Police are not sure what it was all about and promised justice for all.

Pattaya Plod are still trying to work out why traffic lights change colour at regular intervals.

More than likely her boyfriend wanting money before she dissappeared for the night with customer. He should go back to the bar explain what happened and get his bar fine back.

The Korean guy seemed to follow all the rules.

The main one being fun first, pay later.

Was watching some Indian guys being introduced to different rules last night.

A fine, a Wai, perhaps even some flowers, 500 baht fine, photo op with high ranking police, all sorted, until the same lads do the same thing next week.

Yes all that sounds very familiar. Slips my mind where I read it before though.......

Koreans, japanese and Chinese are targetted suckers and scapegoats, as they pay inflated rates with no idea of the local tarifs and customs. They inflate the whole hooker personnal tourist guide and entertainement scene....not to mention that this fellow could have been deeply infected with Corona...that is to many Corona beers back at the culb before....

A lot of posters on this thread thinking the same way as the bar girl did, and that is, the guy is a newbie asian tourist.

He's 57, with a motorbike, and obviously knows his way around the streets of Pattaya to bars, and back to his home.

He did all the right things that an expat monger would do, like not pay in advance.

The bar girl and her pimps were just unhappy that he was not an easy mark, and I have news for them, there are tough times ahead for you if you are expecting newbie tourists to extort.

Good work Mr. Sung.

It's desperate times in Pattaya , the taxi mafia work with bar girls to find easy victims. This time they got nothing, just bad media coverage which means less tourists.
